Pak troops violate cease-fire in Poonch District

The Indian Army said Friday that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire and targeted Indian posts with automatic and small weapons along the Line of Control in Poonch District.

Media reports quoted army sources, as saying that Pakistani troops resorted to heavy firing on Indian posts in the Bhimbher Gali-Gambhir forward areas at around 12.35 a.m..

Indian troops retaliated and the exchange of fire continued till 1.30 a.m.

No deaths or injury to anyone was reported.

There have been over 20 ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the LoC since the April.
