Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ravinder Raina on Sunday criticised Pakistan's move to invite separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, saying it is an attempt to interfere in the internal matters of India.
"It is very unfortunate that Pakistan keeps on violating the international laws and all the treaties that were signed with India in the past. By inviting Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Pakistan has tried to interfere in the internal matters of India, which is completely unacceptable," Raina told ANI.
"It is very unfortunate that separatist leader like Geelani, who has been a supporter of terrorism and has played a major role in disturbing the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir, has been invited by the Pakistani Prime Minister," he added.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who has invited Geelani to visit the country, had earlier said that New Delhi and Islamabad should 'live like good neighbours'.
