Pakistan Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has confirmed the participation of Islamabad in the Heart of Asia conference on Afghanistan in New Delhi despite escalating tensions between the two Asian Neighbours.
The heart of Asia-Istanbul ministerial conference is scheduled to take place in the Amritsar on December 4.
The confirmation from the adviser came after it was reported that Pakistan had no intensions of staying away from the meeting following all stakeholders arriving at consensus that there no point in boycotting the conference since it was about Afghanistan, reports the Express Tribune.
Responding to a question, Aziz told reporters here that Pakistan would be attending the Heart of Asia conference.
While answering another question, the adviser also confirmed that a three-member Afghan Taliban delegation was in Pakistan for talks with authorities.
However, Aziz he did not disclosed the purpose and agenda of the Taliban delegation's visit.
