The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said that Islamabad was not serious about countering terrorism, as it never showed commitment to the Ufa statement.
"The Ufa statement is very much focused on the issue of terrorism. Pakistan has not shown its commitment towards it. So, whatever they now say can be taken with a 'pinch of salt' and ignored, "BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli said.
"If Pakistan really wants to understand the situation, first, they should refer to the Lahore Declaration, where stopping terrorism was the pre-requisite to continue any further talks, but that has not happened," Kohli added.
