Asserting that Pakistan does not trust India, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Sunday said entire basis of the joint statement between the two Asian neighbours has been demolished following the comment of Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi's lawyer that his client won't give voice samples in the 26/11 Mumbai attack probe.

"Pakistan has an existential agenda which is premised upon the destruction of India and it is high time that the Indian establishment realizes that before getting into these overtures and signing platitudes as joint statements," Tewari told ANI.

In a major setback to India's attempt to expedite the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack trail, Lakhvi's lawyer has reportedly said that he will not give his voice sample.

This comes just days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif met on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Ufa, Russia.
