Pakistan, Iran agree to enhance trade to five billion dollars

Pakistan and Iran have agreed to increase the volume of bilateral trade to five billion dollars.

Chairman for the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of Iran, Allauddin Boroujerdi made these remarks while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.

Earlier, Boroujerdi held talks with Pakistan National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua on Friday and discussed matters pertaining to security of the region.

Janjua said that Pakistan attaches great value to its relations with neighbour country Iran.

Boroujerdi said that Iran is a very close friend of Pakistan and there is a need to further improve bilateral relations.

He said Gwadar and Chabahar are sister ports, and they will help boost bilateral trade.

 

Boroujerdi added that Iran Pakistan Gas Pipeline was on the top priorities of both the countries.
