Pakistan's Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Mohammed Yousuf has rejected news reports of the government planning to change the existing blasphemy law.
He said government has no plans to diversify or modify the blasphemy law.
In a statement, the minister said in Mansehra that the present government is fully determined to implement the existing law in its true spirit.
He also maintained that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and cabinet members are first Muslims and then Pakistani.
He said Islam is peaceful religion that protects the right of every individual irrespective of religious affiliations.
