Pakistan has released 58 Indian fishermen and one prisoner who illegally crossed the border on Sunday as part of its goodwill gesture ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of prime minister-designate Narendra Modi led new government at the Centre tomorrow.
A total of fifty-nine Indian prisoners were freed from Malir jail in Karachi.
According to an estimate at present around 229 Indian fishermen and about 780 Indian boats are in Pakistan's custody.
