Pakistan summons Indian envoy over alleged civilian death in cross border firing

Pakistan on Thursday summoned the India's Deputy High Commissioner J. P. Singh over the death of a Pakistani civilian in alleged cross border firing

According to sources Deputy High Commissioner J. P. Singh was summoned by the Pakistan Foreign Office.

Jammu Inspector General (IG) Border Security Force (BSF) D.K. Upadhyay on Thursday said that last night heavily armed militants, five to six militants they made an attempt to infiltrate through the border but that was it timely detected and retaliated in a very befitting manner by the alert and vigilant jawans.

He also said the militants were hiding was between the Border out Posts (BoPs) of Pakistan Rangers.

 

In another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani forces resorted to heavy firing and shelling in Poonch District along the line of control and Kathua district along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
