Pakistani forces on Monday violated the ceasefire agreement yet again and resorted to unprovoked firing along the International Border in the Arnia region of the RS Pura sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

The latest incident of firing by Pakistani troops comes at a time when Indian security forces have been evacuating the villagers living in the border areas after a bout of shelling earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, villagers in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir took to the streets in protest against the unceasing ceasefire violations by Islamabad, burning an effigy to express their angst.

Unprovoked firing by Pakistani forces had earlier led to the killing of one Border Security Force (BSF) jawan in the Samba district of the state.
