At least one Pakistani fishing boat and seven of its crew members were held by the Indian Coast Guard in Gujarat on Tuesday.
The boat Al-Hilal, 16 nautical miles off Jakhau, is being brought ashore for investigation, a statement said.
India and Pakistan share the Arabian Sea coastline along Gujarat and the Pakistani province of Sindh.
