Sir Cliff Richard's pal Bonnie Lythgoe has claimed that the 74-year-old singer has no idea who the historical sex abuse accuser is.
The 65-year-old friend, who has been staying with the star in Barbados, said that she knows the 'Living Doll' singer well and has just been with him on holiday, he's so distraught and so upset, the Mirror reported.
Lythgoe added that Richard has never seen this person and doesn't know who this person is, which is the sadness of all of this as he will never know.
She continued that Richard is a man who is totally innocent.
The allegation relates to an alleged assault at a religious event in Sheffield in 1985, for which Richard has been interviewed but not arrested or charged.
However, police have said the investigation has grown.
