Jan Kranti Adhikar Morcha (JKAM) chief Pappu Yadav on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of using former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi for their own motives, after it was announced that the latter would be contesting on only 20 seats in the upcoming Assembly polls in Bihar.
"There is no difference between BJP and Nitish Kumar as both have used Manjhi. The state BJP also did the same thing by using him for their own selfish motives," Yadav told ANI.
"There is no one who can say that I am better among BJP and JD (U). If you will keep on using Manjhi, I am afraid that Bihar will get a new line of action," he added.
BJP president Amit Shah had earlier announced that his party would contest on 160 seats while Manjhi's Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) would fight on 20 seats, thereby bringing an end to the ongoing tussle over seat-sharing for the Bihar Assembly polls.
Shah further announced that Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) would contest on 40 seats and the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) would battle it out on 23 seats.
