Nepal cricket team captain Paras Khadka has hailed Nepal's first ever one day international (ODI) victory in a historic two-match series against Netherlands and thanked his well-wishers for their continuous support in the journey.

Nepal had yesterday defeated the Netherlands by one run in a thrilling contest to level the historic two-match series 1-1. A brilliant 51-run partnership for the last wicket between all-rounder Karan KC and leg-break bowler Sandeep Lamichhane took Nepal to a dramatic win.
While Somal Kampi was the highest scorer for Nepal with 61 runs in the bowling department, Lamichhane took three wickets with an economy rate of 4.10.
Expressing delight on the victory, Lamichhhane took to Twitter and praised the team for their brilliant efforts. "What a win !! Nothing could be better than this. First win as an ODI Nation. Great team effort. Great contribution from everyone. Well done @Sompal_Kami dai & @paras77 dai for your brilliant innings. Well done everyone. Proud of Everyone. Jai Nepal????!!" he tweeted.
Nepal gained the status of ODI playing nation in March this year, after registering a six-wicket victory over Papua New Guinea in 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
