Pope Francis has defended freedom of expression following last week's shooting in Paris at the headquarters of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo but stressed that there should a "limit".
However, Pope Francis did not mention the attack in Paris but said that one should not "insult the faith of others", reported BBC.
The Pope also urged people to treat different religions with respect.
While flying to the Philippines, Pope Francis said to Doctor Gasparri who arranges his trips, that if he spoke badly of the Pope's mother, he could expect a punch, throwing a pretend punch at the doctor.
The remarks came as funerals were held for four people killed in the attack by militants Islamists.
