Proceedings in both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day after an uproar over various issues, including the adoption of the JPC report without debate, the 2G spectrum scam, Telangana, price rise and death of children in relief camps for riot victims in Muzaffarnagar.
In the Lok Sabha, members displayed placards demanding action against the accused in the Muzaffarnagar violence and a CBI inquiry into the chit fund scam in West Bengal.
Members from Andhra Pradesh also trooped into the well of the House, raising slogans and carrying placards of Save Andhra Pradesh.
Normalcy was restored in the House briefly when Speaker Meira Kumar referred to the notices for moving a no-confidence motion against the government by some members from Andhra Pradesh. Later, she adjourned the House for the day.
Similar scenes were witnessed in Rajya Sabha, where BSP members trooped into the Well to demand the dismissal of the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh.
They showed newspaper reports that said children had died in Muzaffarnagar relief camps.
TDP members trooped into the Well of the House with banners that opposed the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
