Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said on Tuesday that fellow cabinet colleague and leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Ram Vilas Paswan was a politician held in high esteem by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and refuted suggestions of the latter being unhappy with the number of seats (40) allotted to the LJP for the forthcoming assembly elections in Bihar.
"There is no issue to be angry. We are all together. Yesterday, Ram Vilas Paswan himself stressed on the need for the NDA to win in the assembly election in Bihar. He is a senior leader and a part of NDA," Pradhan said.
The BJP will contest 160 of the 243 seats up for grabs in Bihar.
The term of the 243-member Bihar Assembly comes to an end on November 29. The polls in the state will begin on October 12 and conclude on November 5. Counting of votes will take place on November 8.
