Patna has been decked up for 'Shukrana Samaroh', the concluding ceremony of Guru Gobind Singh's 350th birthday.

The 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh which is also known as 'Prakash Parv' had begun on December 2016 and will conclude on December 25, 2017.

Guru Gobind Singh was born in Bihar's Patna on December 22, 1666 and his birth place has been converted into Takht Sri Patna Sahib Gurdwara.

At least three lakh devotees are expected to attend the main functions from December 23 to December 25 in Patna, Bihar.

Bihar government has declared it as an official function. Since the main Gurudwara is quite narrow, the government has made arrangements of the event to take place in different areas where tent cities have been erected.

Arrangements have been made to accommodate fifty thousand people in tent cities. So far, ten thousand devotees have come from different countries and abroad.

Meanwhile, all kinds of caution have been taken up for the safety and security of the devotees. Several teams of NDRF have been set up to fight any disaster during the 'Shukrana Samaroh'.

The main programme is scheduled to be held on December 25 in the Diwan Hall of Patna Sahib gurdwara.
