Sir Paul McCartney has joined the 'Let's Stay Together' campaign and has called for Scotland to stay as part of the UK before the country's vote on independence next month.
The former Beatle extended support to campaign and added his name to an open letter to voters urging them to "stay together" in Liverpool, the Guardian reported.
The letter, which has been signed by more than 50,000 people, highlights the effect it would have on the rest of the United Kingdom and also declared the value of the "bonds of citizenship".
McCartney is joined by Sir Mick Jagger, Sir Bruce Forsyth, Dame Judi Dench and Professor Stephen Hawking, among others.
