Confederations Cup hero Paulinho has revealed that he is very excited to sign for Tottenham because he has been told Gareth Bale is likely to stay at the North London club.

The Brazil midfielder was offered 17 million dollars for the move and is currently playing for Corinthians, apart from playing an important role in Brazil's mid-week semi-final win against Uruguay to set up a clash with Spain in the Sunday night final, the Mirror reports.

According to Paulinho, despite a great deal of interest in Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas and the club's best player Bale, they have made it clear that neither of them are going anywhere.

Excited at the prospect of playing under Villas-Boas and alongside Real Madrid target Bale, Paulinho further said that to play in England for a great team like Tottenham was a dream and what he respected most about Tottenham was the ambition they have shown.

Paulinho also said that giving full importance to the Confederations Cup is important for the Brazilian fans for which, he is completely focusing on winning, adding that after the tournament he hoped the deal with Tottenham would be finalized quickly.

The Brazilian's arrival at the club is expected to lead to the exit of Scott Parker and Sunderland target Tom Huddlestone who has also been linked with Chelsea, Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk.
