Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) caretaker chairman Najam Sethi has said that he wants to go to India to convince them to play with Pakistan.

According to the Express Tribune, Sethi said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given him the responsibility of improving relations with India for which, he added, he wants to go to the neighbouring country within the next three months.

Meanwhile, Sethi also defended captain Misbah-ul Haq and said that he was satisfied with his captaincy, adding that the highs and lows in cricket should not cause such an uproar.

Sethi also rubbished criticism following Pakistan's loss in the second Harare Test in Zimbabwe, with the report saying that Pakistan's 24-run defeat in the final Test had deprived them of a much-needed series victory and had drawn criticism from former cricketers.

For the upcoming series with South Africa, Sethi said that he would announce the team within ten days.
