The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that their domestic anti-corruption unit is monitoring reports of alleged match-fixing in the ongoing Faysal Bank T20 tournament being played in Rawalpindi

According to The Dawn, reports of match-fixing surfaced on Thursday after former Test batsman Basit Ali, who was also part of a television commentary team for the tournament, alleged that the Sialkot Stallions-Karachi Dolphins game, which Karach won, was fixed.

Basit was removed from the commentary panel after protests from the Sialkot camp before their quarter-final game against the Islamabad Leopards.

Responding to the reports, the PCB said in a statement that it was looking into the allegation and that each domestic match was being monitored.

The fixing allegations come days after Islamabad Regional Cricket Association president, Shakil Sheikh, who is also a member of a management committee running the affairs of the PCB, accused Basit of being a "bookie".
