People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Yashpal Sharma today dismissed BJP president Amit Shah's claim that his party would form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir after the assembly polls.

"It's just a dream of the BJP. In Jammu and Kashmir, it will be the PDP which will be in power after the polls, and not the BJP. We will form our government," Sharma, who is the general secretary of the PDP, said.

Earlier in the day, Shah without naming anyone, criticized the political families of the PDP (Muftis), and the National Conference (Abdullahs), and urged BJP workers to strive for victory in the assembly polls to be held later this year.

"There will be state elections in four states soon. It is very important that the BJP comes to power in all states. The condition in Jammu and Kashmir is very sad, and the current (National Conference) government there is running a corrupt establishment. It is not only the responsibility of state BJP activists, but every state activist to ensure that the BJP wins there. Both political families of J and K have misused the money meant for the progress of state," Shah said.
