Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padhukone recently spoke on the comparison that was being done between their song 'Pinga' from 'Bajirao Mastani' and Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's starrer 'Dola Re' from 'Devdas.'

While releasing the trailer of the Ranveer Singh-starrer, the 33-year-old actress said, "Both are different situations and scenarios. Obviously comparisons will happen due to Sajay Leela Bhansali and actresses in Indian attire. However, Pinga is celebration of womanhood and their love for the same man.

Meanwhile, Deepika, who will be seen in the character of Mastani in the flick, said, "There are two heroines dancing, hence the comparison. But there is no other reason to compare. We were happy to get the opportunity to dance."

The 29-year-old actress further said, "Priyanka is the first friend I made when I entered Bollywood. We were comfortable with each other, much to people's dismay. They expected lot of tension. Sanjay Leela Bhansali joked and asked us, 'why don't you fight?'. It was great fun, and difficult. There were days when we wanted to give up. But we pulled through. And the result is amazing."

The 'Mary Kom' star also addressed the ongoing controversy, wherein Bajirao's kin, Mohini Karkarey wrote an open letter to Bhansali. Priyanka said that this film is based on a book called 'Rao' that tells the author's version of what happened in Bajirao-Mastani's love story.

She further asked the audiences to look at it as a beautiful saga from Sanjay's version.
