Manchester City football team boss Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that his fate at the club would ultimately be decided after the Premier League defending champion's final six games of the same.

Pellegrini faces the sack following a disastrous 2015 in which City have fallen from second to fourth, picking up just 18 points from a possible 39 and with the club in freefall, the Chilean has admitted that their slide could see them finish as low as eight if he is not able to put a stop to it, but also said that the time to judge him is at the end of the season.

Pellegrini said that every time one finishes the season one must analyze, winning or losing, adding that maybe winning the six games one finishes second, maybe losing the six one finishes eighth, so it's impossible to make the same analysis, claiming that after that one must review the whole season, The Mirror reported.

The City boss has been placed under further scrutiny with the availability of Jurgen Klopp, who has announced he would be quitting Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. Klopp would be among the candidates to succeed Pellegrini if the Chilean is sacked by City at the end of the campaign.

However, Pellegrini insisted that he was not concerned at the speculation surrounding his future and said that if one doesn't have the results the club deserves, everyone is talking about changing the manager, adding that it's the same here, in Spain, in Italy, so one must be used to the rumours, but claimed that he trusts in the work he does.

Pellegrini admitted that of course nobody is happy when one is out of the fight for the title, adding that maybe one can't win the title every year, but it's very easy that the same thing is to sack the manager. He said that he doesn't think that it's the correct diagnostic for every team.
