Congress leader Manish Tewari on Tuesday said the people of the nation have started saying "koi lauta de mere beete hue din" (somebody please return my old days back) due to the manner in which the government has conducted itself over the last 15 days.

Describing the government as an absolute failure on every front, Tewari said, "Except for increasing the communal temperature in the country, they have done nothing at all."

Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar should be thanked for confessing that this slogan of 'achhe din' was nothing else, but an attempt by the BJP to make a fool out of the people of India," he added.

Union Minister for Steel and mines Narendra Singh Tomar had yesterday said the 'Achhe Din' slogan was coined by people on social media during the 2014 general elections.
