Twitter owned Periscope has released an update with a new landscape mode that allows the users to shoot and broadcast video in landscape.
According to the Verge, this feature works across iOS, Android and the web.
The new feature allows for a wider field of view than the users would get recording in portrait. Landscape video will now look right regardless of which orientation the user's phone is in. The users just have to rotate their phones to landscape to take broadcasts in fullscreen.
In addition, the Periscope update on iOS allows the users to instantly share links to their live broadcasts on Facebook, so it will be easier to attract viewers other than their Twitter and Periscope followers.
