Snowfall in Kufri, Himachal Pradesh, has not only brought cheers to tourists from the warmer parts of the country, but has also given photographers an opportunity to earn extra income.
Nearly 200 photographers are working in snow-covered hill station of Kufri, over 20 kilometres from state capital Shimla.
They believe that though tourists are equipped with the latest cameras, they still rely on professional photographers to capture their memories.
"Most people have the best technology; the latest cameras, high-end phones with good resolutions but they still look to professionals to click their pictures especially ones in the traditional dresses and in snow. We click their photos and deliver them to their hotels by the evening," said a photographer, Rakesh Sharma.
Excited tourists posed in traditional attire, sat on yaks and rolled in snow as photographers captured their beautiful moments in their cameras.
"Coming to Kufri was an unbelievable experience with the family especially the children. We will take back good memories from here," said Pradeep, a tourist.
Meanwhile, the MeT department has predicted more snow and heavy rains in Shimla and adjoining places in the coming days.
