While the whole crowd was inspired and bought to tears by Pink's touching speech at the 2017 Video Music Award (VMA) last month, there was one person who wasn't much impressed by the whole thing; it was none other than the singer's daughter itself.
Ironically, the heartfelt speech was aimed at her six-year-old daughter, Willow, about not conforming to society's beauty standards.
During an appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', who also presented the singer with the 'Michael Jackson Vanguard Award' at the event, Pink revealed how her daughter was left "incredibly unimpressed" by her speech to Ellen.
She continued saying the host, ""I was like, Babe are you excited about today? I'm going to win an award and I'm going to do a show." And she goes, "Exactly how many minutes after you sing does my sleepover start?"
"I was like, "Dude, can you pretend to be excited for me?"", she laughed.
The singer also revealed how she found out from her husband later that night after the event that she didn't prepared 'PowerPoint' as mentioned in her speech but instead it was 'word document'.
Pink further reiterated the story in her interview with DeGeneres explaining how her daughter left her speechless when she said, "I'm the ugliest girl I know."
The singer said that she cried after the conversation, and ultimately, encouraged her daughter to love herself for who she is.
"I get my feelings hurt all the time. It hurts," she admitted.
"But if you're human, you're gonna hear it.... I'm just trying to make her more resilient," she added.
The Pop star is married to motocross racer husband Carey Hart for eleven years and has two children together.
Her album, 'Beautiful Trama,' is due out in October 13.
