Pinterest is reportedly working on a feature that would allow users to pin and play GIFs on the platform.
Previously, users could upload GIFs on the site, but they appeared as still images unless users followed the link back to the GIFs original source outside of the platform.
However, the new feature lets users play and pause the GIFs right on Pinterest by clicking the 'play' button located in the lower left-hand corner of the image, Mashable reports.
A Pinterest spokesperson, confirming the company's experiment with GIFs, said that they have heard from the community that they'd like the ability to post and view GIFs as Pins, so the company is testing ways to make that happen.
The report said that the GIF feature has not been made available to all Pinterest users and most users still see the GIFs as still images.
Pinterest is yet to announce the formal rollout of the feature to all users.
