The South African police has said that Paralympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius was treated like any other person and was not given any preferential treatment at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria where he is on trial for the murder case of his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Pistorius had been swarmed by media and the public outside the court who waited to take photographs of him every time he went into and out of court building.
According to Sport24, a police spokesperson dismissed speculations of Pistorius being given preferential treatment from the court security, although he added that his team co-ordinated the Blade Runner's security together with his cousins as they are professionals and have to make sure that Pistorius does not come to any harm.
Pistorius has pleaded not guilty for the murder of Steenkamp on 14 February last year, the report added.
