Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal, on Tuesday, held a meeting with state ministers to discuss roadmap to provide uninterrupted electricity in the entire country.
Addressing 18 state power ministers at the conference, Goyal said that the union government had drawn up such plans in some states though planning for others were still in nascent stage.
"With some states we have reached stage of drawing up an action plan, which over the next three or four years can achieve the one dream that I have and the one promise that I have made to the people of India furthering the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide 24X7 power to every home, every industry, every commercial establishment, make sure that the farmers of India get adequate power," said Goyal.
Goyal urged for collective effort for 24X7 power.
"We can all work together for the development agenda of the country. Let politics continue at its own pace and its own place. Let us work together to achieve our 24X7 power dream," added Goyal.
Goyal said there was no low coal supply and dry fuel-based power production had increased by 22 percent in the three months of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rule.
