Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that connectivity is becoming extremely important in the 21st century, adding that air connectivity is vital from the point of view of tourism sector growth as more tourists would yield better economic growth.
"Connectivity is becoming very important in this century. Air connectivity is vital from the point of view of tourism sector growth.Better air connectivity means more tourists and this means better economic growth and the new aviation policy released under this government looks at growth of the aviation sector," Prime Minister Modi said while addressing the inauguration of the international terminal at Harni airport here.
Prime Minister Modi expressed happiness over the induction of Vadodara Airport in the green movement joining Kochi.
"Many innovations have happened in the world. Rail is old, but we need to bring new technology to the Railways and India's first Railway University will be in Vadodara," he added
"We have limitless opportunitues when it comes to tourism in India. I am sure that Vadodara will contribute to that a lot," Prime Minister Modi said.
"The new aviation policy, released under this government, looks at growth of the aviation sector," he said.
The Prime Minister urged that limitless opportunities are present when it comes to tourism in India and said that Vadodara will contribute to that.
