Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated the Indian Women's Kabaddi team on winning the Gold Medal in the Asian Games.
"The Indian Women's Kabaddi team has made us very proud. I congratulate them on winning the Gold. A phenomenal accomplishment!", the Prime Minister said.
The Indian women's kabaddi team beat Iran 31-21 to bag the gold medal in the 2014 Asian Games.
Yesterday, the Indian Men's Hockey team also defeated Pakistan 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out to clinch the Gold medal in the hockey finals of the Asian Games 2014.
