Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal for his party's victory in the Delhi Assembly elections and assured the Centre's complete support in development of Delhi
"Spoke to Arvind Kejriwal and congratulated him on the win. Assured him Centre's complete support in the development of Delhi," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
Kejriwal on his part expressed the desire to meet Prime Minister Modi at the earliest.
As per the latest reports, the AAP is inching closer to government formation in Delhi with the party leading in 62 seats. The BJP is ahead in 7 seats while the Congress is trailing in all the 70 assembly seats.
The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for the counting of votes. Counting is taking place at 14 centres in nine districts of the national capital.
A three-tier security has been put in place at all the 14 counting centres.

A voter turnout of 67.08 percent was recorded in the polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
A total of 673 candidates are in the fray this time.
