PM Modi congratulates medal winners at Asian Games 2014

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the medal winners at the Incheon Asian Games.

"Very good day for India at the Asian Games. Congrats to our Hockey Team and congrats to our women athletes for the Gold in 4x400 metres relay," said the Prime Minister.

"I have been closely following India's progress at the Asian Games and I congratulate every medal winner. You make India very proud," he added.

India today won the hockey finals in Asian Games 2014 held at South Korea's Incheon city after defeating Pakistan 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out.

The women's 4x400m relay team of Priyanka Pawar, Tintu Lukka, Mandeep Kaur and R. Poovamma also created a record by winning the gold minutes after the Hockey team's win.
