Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the passing away of Mumbai 'Dabbawala' leader Gangaram Talekar.
Prime Minister took to twitter to express his grief.
"Very sad to know of the passing away of Shri Gangaram Talekar. My condolences to his family and the entire family of Dabbawallas of Mumbai," he wrote.
Talekar, who was the Mumbai Tiffin Box Suppliers Association general secretary, reportedly passed away after suffering a heart attack.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently nominated dabbawalas, among others, to take forward the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', launched on October 2.
