Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Nagaland, extended greetings to the people of the state on Monday on its 51st Statehood Day.
Celebrations will be two-fold as the occasion is coinciding with the famous Hornbill Festival in Nagaland.
"Nagaland's Statehood Day, convey my greetings to the people of Nagaland and wish them the best in the State's development journey," the Prime Minister tweeted.
"Consider myself fortunate to be able to celebrate this special occasion with the people of Nagaland, enjoying their excellent hospitality," he added.
This is his first visit to the state after taking oath to office as the Prime Minister.
