Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a review meeting on his mission 'Housing for All', one of the priority commitments that the government has finalised.

During the meet, which was also attended by Union Minister for Urban Poverty Alleviation Venkaiah Naidu and Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo, the Prime Minister was briefed on the approach planned to be followed to meet the housing requirement. He was also given an overview of the delivery mechanisms envisaged at the Central and state levels.

The Prime Minister further stated that the first priority under the scheme should be on towns and cities along the banks of the River Ganga and its tributaries.
