Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the Dussehra celebrations at Subhash Maidan here along with several other top leaders.
President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan were among those present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Modi also exchanged pleasantries with Dr. Singh and Sonia Gandhi, who lit the ceremonial lamp, at the event.
The organizers of the event greeted the eminent guests with garlands and presents.
