Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing his 'Mann Ki Baat' broadcast, on Sunday lauded ace tennis player Sania Mirza and shuttler Saina Nehwal for their recent accomplishments in their respective sport.
"I am proud that two daughters of the nation made India proud, one is Saina Nehwal and second Sania Mirza. I congratulate both of them," Prime Minister Modi said.
Sania Mirza became the World No 1 in tennis doubles while Saina Nehwal regained the number one spot in badminton.
The Prime Minister also expressed disappointment over the outlook shown to the Indian cricket team when it lost against Australia in the semi-finals of ICC World Cup.
"When we lost to Australia in cricket, what some people did towards our team, it is not right. Winning and losing are a part of life," Prime Minister Modi said.
