Asserting that the world should witness the power of India's youth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday laid emphasis on games to prosper in life.
"Without 'khel' there cannot be 'khilna'....the person who plays games shines in life," said Prime Minister Modi while addressing a public meeting at Katra.
"We are hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup and this has to be an opportunity for us to celebrate sports. The world should see the power of India's youth," he added.
Prime Minister Modi, who also inaugurated a sports complex here, further said this infrastructure will help sports and sportsman spirit in the state.
"Where there is sports, you can stay away from illness. Preventive healthcare is very important. Cleanliness ensures we remain free from illness," he said.
Prime Minister Modi also praised Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for her assertion on development.

"Mehbooba Mufti ji always talks of development of Jammu and Kashmir when we meet. When such thought is there, development is bound to happen," he added.
Prime Minister Modi pointed out that the Centre and state government are working together for infrastructure development in Jammu and Kashmir.
"We all have to work together for the development of India and this development has to be quick paced and inclusive," he added.
The Prime Minister further remembered former chief minister Mufti Mohammed Saeed for his efforts to bridge the gap between Jammu and Srinagar.
