French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian, who is on a two-day visit to India called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Le Drian met with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the two leaders held a bilateral delegation level meeting.
Swaraj and Le Drain discussed various issues including terrorism, climate change, and Jaitapur Nuclear Power project. The two nations committed to partnership in bilateral trade and fighting terrorism.
It was revealed that Paris and New Delhi are launching projects in Africa, particularly in the area of sustainable development in connection with the International Solar Alliance.
