Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj here.
Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Vikas Swarup took to twitter to share the information.
"An important chat before lunch. PM @narendramodi with President Elbegdorj," he wrote.
Prime Minister Modi will later attend a lunch reception hosted by President Elbegdorj, before laying the foundation stone at the IT centre of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.
Prime Minister Modi, who arrived in Ulaanbaatar on Saturday night, is the first Indian prime minister to visit Mongolia.
