Amidst speculations that India may call off the NSA-level talks, the Congress Party on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi needs to be much smarter in handling Pakistan.
"After the two Heads of States, two Prime Ministers met and they brought out a joint declaration, first step was the NSA level declaration. Even that Pakistan has curtailed it. Prime Minister needs to be smarter now that how to handle Pakistan," Congress leader P.C Chacko told ANI.
He further pointed out if the NSA-level dialogue doesn't take place, it will be a setback for Pakistan and not India.
"NSA-level talks, slated for 23rd of this month, are quite unlikely to take place. And the fact that if it doesn't take place, it is not at all a setback for India; it can only be a setback for Pakistan," he said.
