When Prime Minister Narendra Modi touches down in Punjab's Ferozepur District on Monday to pay homage to the nation's three famous martyrs-Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev-he is likely to use the rally organized on the sidelines of the event to recall the national spirit of these martyrs, and to exhort Indian citizens to work for the betterment of their country.
Prime Minister Modi will visit the national memorial dedicated to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru at Hussainiwala on the occasion of their 84th martyrdom anniversary.
The Prime Minister will visit Hussainiwala, the place where all three were unceremoniously cremated after their hanging in Lahore by the British colonial administration on March 23, 1931 on grounds of treason.
He will also visit the Golden Temple and the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar to pay homage to those who were martyred during India's freedom struggle in the early part of the 20th century.
