BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government had been very proactive in rebuffing terrorist acts in the country and in ensuring that no such attacks take place on Indian soil.

"I think this government has actually been very, very active, has been very successful in preventing infiltrations from across the border, in rebuffing all attempts of terrorists to sneak into Indian territory. And also to ensure that none of the terror groups can actually succeed in perpetrating any acts of terror on Indian soil," Rao told ANI here

On the sixth anniversary of the 26/11 attacks, Rao asked the entire nation to take a resolve that no acts of terror shall be allowed on its soil.

"Today is the anniversary of that very, very dastardly terrorist act perpetrated in Mumbai with the support of people from across the border. I think today is a day for the entire country to actually take a resolve that no acts of terror shall be allowed on its soil," he added.

Earlier this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his homage to 26/11 Mumbai attack victims on social networking site Twitter. Several programmes are lined up today in remembrance of victims and martyrs of that carnage.

At least 166 people were killed and 293 injured on this fateful day six years ago when ten Pakistani terrorists struck at various locations in Mumbai simultaneously.

The lone terrorist Ajmal Kasab who was captured alive during the attacks was hanged to death after trial on November 21, 2012.
