Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Siddharth Nath Singh on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to the United States should be looked at as work in progress.
"One should look at this visit as work in progress. You need to build on to the last visit of the Prime Minister, so that relations between India and US are maintained on a sustainable basis," Nath told ANI here.
Nath also said the visit is very significant for the "Start-up India, Stand up India" campaign to promote bank financing for start-ups and offer incentives to boost entrepreneurship and job creation.
"It's an important visit, as after 33 years the Prime Minister is visiting the west coast. This is important because Prime Minister Modi on August 15 had launched "Start-up India, Stand up India" to promote bank financing for start-ups. So, it is an important visit as innovating ideas can only get support from the west coast of USA," Nath said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address founders of startups, entrepreneurs and technology leaders in the Silicon Valley on September 27.
