Former United Kingdom prime minister David Cameron called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital today, where both leaders discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Modi recalled his successful visit to the UK in November 2015, and thanked Cameron for his personal support and contribution to strengthening India-UK ties during his tenure as Prime Minister of the UK.
Cameron had announced his resignation following the victory for supporters favouring Britain's exit from the European Union after a divisive referendum campaign.
Earlier in November, UK Prime Minister Theresa May made her first official trip to India in the backdrop of Brexit talks.
