Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate Diwali this year in Mana Gaon village of Chamoli sector in Uttarakhand with Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) and said that these efforts will boost the morale of the Army men.
"People are very excited on the Prime Minister's visit to Mana Gaon on the occasion of Diwali. Several Indian Army personnel belong from here. The roots of this village are connected to Indian Army," Pradhan told ANI.
Prime Minister Modi will leave for Chamoli on Saturday to celebrate Diwali with the troops of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will accompany the Prime Minister on his trip to the border area.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi urged the nation to send their good wishes to the Army and security forces personnel to boost their morale.
In 2014, the Prime Minister celebrated Diwali with the flood-affected people in Srinagar and last year he visited Amritsar to celebrate Diwali with Army troops.
